For years I believed more weight on the bar was the only thing that mattered. I spent my twenties coaching, competing, building. All day, every day. Three gyms.
I slept in the first one for six months because I could not afford another rent.
Then everything fell apart at the same time. The gym, the community, the savings, the health.
I ended up on a superyacht in the Mediterranean, polishing steel and scrubbing decks, training at six in the morning with nothing but my body and whatever space I had.
Training became simple by necessity, not by choice. My mind got clearer. My creativity came back. I could think again.
I fell in love with being outside and exploring the world on foot.
